History
The origins of Valentine's Day trace back to the ancient Roman celebration of Lupercalia. Held on February 15, Lupercalia honored the gods Lupercus and Faunus, as well as the legendary founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus.

In addition to a bountiful feast, Lupercalia festivities are purported to have included the pairing of young women and men. Men would draw women's names from a box, and each couple would be paired until next year's celebration.

While this pairing of couples set the tone for today's holiday, it wasn't called "Valentine's Day" until a priest named Valentine came along. Valentine, a romantic at heart, disobeyed Emperor Claudius II's decree that soldiers remain bachelors. Claudius handed down this decree believing that soldiers would be distracted and unable to concentrate on fighting if they were married or engaged. Valentine defied the emperor and secretly performed marriage ceremonies. As a result of his defiance, Valentine was put to death on February 14.

After Valentine's death, he was named a saint. As Christianity spread through Rome, the priests moved Lupercalia from February 15 to February 14 and renamed it St. Valentine's Day to honor Saint Valentine.

What's Cupid Got to Do with It?

According to Roman mythology, Cupid was the son of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. Cupid was known to cause people to fall in love by shooting them with his magical arrows. But Cupid didn't just cause others to fall in love - he himself fell deeply in love.

As legend has it, Cupid fell in love with a mortal maiden named Psyche. Cupid married Psyche, but Venus, jealous of Psyche's beauty, forbade her daughter-in-law to look at Cupid. The Chinese New Year is now popularly known as the Spring Festival because it starts from the Beginning of Spring (the first of the twenty-four terms in coordination with the changes of Nature). Its origin is too old to be traced. Several explanations are hanging around. All agree, however, that the word Nian, which in modern Chinese solely means "year", was originally the name of a monster beast that started to prey on people the night before the beginning of a new year (Do not lose track here: we are talking about the new year in terms of the Chinese calendar).
One legend goes that the beast Nian had a very big mouth that would swallow a great many people with one bite. People were very scared. One day, an old man came to their rescue, offering to subdue Nian. To Nian he said, "I hear say that you are very capable, but can you swallow the other beasts of prey on earth instead of people who are by no means of your worthy opponents?" So, swallow it did many of the beasts of prey on earth that also harassed people and their domestic animals from time to time.

After that, the old man disappeared riding the beast Nian. He turned out to be an immortal god. Now that Nian is gone and other beasts of prey are also scared into forests, people begin to enjoy their peaceful life. Before the old man left, he had told people to put up red paper decorations on their windows and doors at each year's end to scare away Nian in case it sneaked back again, because red is the color the beast feared the most.

From then on, the tradition of observing the conquest of Nian is carried on from generation to generation. The term "Guo Nian", which may mean "Survive the Nian" becomes today "Celebrate the (New) Year" as the word "guo" in Chinese having both the meaning of "pass-over" and "observe". The custom of putting up red paper and firing fire-crackers to scare away Nian should it have a chance to run loose is still around. Since yesterday and today. I have been chasing this anime.
Actually I have been chasing the manga but , it takes a very long time so,

I ended up chasing the anime instead !
And i think this yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is a very funny anime =D

There is Nahakara Sunako the ultra gloomy girl.

There is Kyouhei Takano the super dazzling creature.

There is Takenaga Oda the Super Hot guy in the tub.

There is Yukinojo Toyama ( Yuki ) The really cute guy.

There is the super playboy Ranmaru Morii.
Naie Kasahara ( Noi-chi ) so called Takenaga's girlfriend.

This anime talks about Nakahara Sunako , the main character got rejected badly from a guy she likes.The Guy which rejected her badly says that he doesn't like ugly things. Nakahara Sunako which likes the guy was deeply hurt and her personality changed. She became ultra gloomy , likes skulls and vampires, yet loves chocolates ! And most of all she dislikes beautiful things. Which she calls them dazzling creatures.
But then , though she dislikes dazzling creatures and all , she had to stay with 4 super hot guys in a mansion ( owned by Nakahara Sunako's Aunt ).

It's a really nice anime =D Be sure to watch !!

I'm so disappointed at humans these days !

Dingle berries !

My life today was seriously not good !

Last minute , they lady from the Driving Agency called mie

and said that she got my name registered ! And i had to rushed there.
Next , i got so nervous that whatever i read it couldn't get into my head.

Later on, I wait for like 30 minutes + and i noticed that my name wasn't called.

Then i looked at them and they realised that they hadn't called my name.
So fine. Next I went and take the pictures and stuff, And you know what !
I've been smiling at the camera for so long ! And was still adjusting the damn camera.

Why don't he just tell mie ! Not only that , when i stop smiling , he was about to snap

the picture ! And i had to quickly smile back ! =___=l|
And the worst part is. I failed the damn undang. I got 40/50

Ain't that nice ? Pish Posh ! I'm frustrated.

WAIT !! The turmoil is just beginning !
When i finished the undang , which i failed.
I went to buy credit and called the Driving Agency people.

I told he that i finished my undang , ( so that she could fetch mie home. )
And she said " Oh ! Wait I need to fetch my kids to school . "
Okay , so i waited and waited. 15 minutes passed.
30 minutes passed , 45 minutes passed and hour passed.
I've been waiting so patiently for an hour , and i got really pissed !
So I called her again. And guess what !

She said
" Hello ? Who are you ? " OMG !! I WAS BURNING HOT WHEN I HEARD THAT !!
and then i said " I'm Jaymie ? When are you going to pick mie up ? "
And she said " Ohh !I forgot wait wait "

And then she hanged up.

My face seriously changed pitch black ! I was so damn pissed .
And wait , it continues. I waited another half and hour.

Which adds up to 1 hour and a half ! Then i got so damn freaking pissed ,

I decided to walk home instead. I walk to the taylor's college , walk and walk.

And then , She called ! ( driving agency people ) And guess what !
I was lost ! ==!! And then somehow i found her and she fetched mie home.
*sigh* And when I reached home.

The mother volcano explodes ! My mum got so mad that I failed ,
She says that not only that I failed , I also waste extra time and money.

What do you want ! I'm not a smart alec you know ! I'm already

disappointed and frustrated and yet you came and add salt to my wound !
What glory ! *pouts*

And wait ! It's not over till the king says so !
And moments ago, my dad came home ! And asked whether did I take the

undang.

And i said " yeah .. "

And then he says " So how did you do ? "

And then i said " I failed .."

ANd then he got mad and started saying such and easy thing how can you fail ?

Totally speechless.

This was actually my First countdown with my friends ,
And yet , all I had was being disappointed. What luck rights ?

Spending my time walking and chatting in Sunway today.
Apparently all we did was , walked and eat and talked.
I thought that countdown would be fantastic , since it was my first time and all.

But , don't expect too much. I was bored when it's about time to countdown.
Was sitting at a shop right beside Republic. Wei Seng ordered a tower of beer.
or Bazooka? And we waited for SO LONG ! And it didn't arrived.
Then we got so pissed off and walk. The person was like having the look ,
" Excuse me but , If you're not going to order can you just like leave?? "
So we did , We left that damn place. The we walk somewhere near coco banana

I guess. Then While we were walking half way , What GOOD LUCK ! It's
NEW YEAR ALREADY ?! Fire works were exploding and the damn

building was blocking. And we CAN'T SEE A THING !
Wait !!! There's more ! People start spraying that toxic thing ! Sprayed all over

and sprayed at mie , Su Ann , Lee Min And Wei Seng ! What Great Luck rights??

This PARTICULAR thing on top ? Or so called Snow spray ? Or anything similar to this

kind of product , can cause cancer !! I'm serious , The Chinese Newspaper said so.
I had to cover my face with my jacket , and those annoying people still sprayed those

damn cancer causing things everywhere !! Don't they read the newspaper ?

*sigh* I'm seriously very very disappointed.
Back home now. Still feeling very disappointed. And thanks to Mei ki I got back home safely !

I don't know why but , Avatar reminds mie of this show a lot !
Like when Neytiri , the princess of Omaticaya brought Jake Sully to her home to meet his father ? And the part where TsuTey which was supposed to married Neytiri? And also their hair ?
Lol. And then , another part is , when those humans ( yeah humans ) were riding in those robots ? It reminds mie of Sakura Wars as well ! Shocking huh ! But yeah !! Early this morning, my dad went to giant

to buy some meat for tonights dinner =DSomehow he really wants to eat steamboat + tepanyaki
Lols. I think is called steamboat + tepanyaki ?Haha. Had a great feast =)
Super full.
Ps : I gained weight yesterday = _____ =l|

I'm supposed to lose weight this month
And I gained weight ..
I gained 2 kg in a week = =
now my weight is 48kg What the heck ? Lol.

I got so cautious today and only ate

A bread and a glass of milk.

For branch i had half a sausage.
For lunch I had an apple and a little bit Maggie( my mum says Maggie doesn't make mie gain weight)
As dinner I had the steamboat + tepanyaki ( i guess )
Lol. And also, Right now I'm eating papaya =D
Hmm.I wonder what am I going to eat tomorrow @@
Man, being cautious of what you eat is seriously hard.

Hmm, Went shopping with my parents today !
And got myself 2 cute frilly skirts one long sleeve shirt
And a pair of wedges =D
Finally i got myself a pair of wedges !! LOLS.
Later that evening we went to the Christmas Dinner
Held at the "PALACE" the restaurant's name.LOl.

Erm, I ate and watched the performances
And some of their stories.

Tell you something.
My father's side of the family.
Majority of them, Are very artistic.

They can sing, play instruments , performed well
Smart too o_o Except mie of course.
I can only slack >.>
Anyways, I saw my cousin performing this year's
Christmas Dinner again and he was, yet again Good lol !
My grandmother said that people pays him Rm1k to perform.
I'm not sure whether I should be surprised or not lol.
He and his band I guess, performing. LOL.

I think this K-Drama is sweeeet !!

It's a day trip to be precise.
Lols. I finally get to wear my new boots !
And You should know that Genting is really cold.
For mie that is. How should I say this, I'm allegic to cold stuffs .? LOLS.

Anyways, We took of at 11am and reached home at 7pm =D

Which I don't think i can actually concentrate that long - -l
If people study for 3-4 hours .. I think i have to x2 their time ..

@@ Imagine 6-8 hours studying nonstop ! I cant NEVER imagine
myself studying that long ..! Seriously ! If its gaming , obviously its another case so .. haha ! That i can definately put 100% concentration into it LOL !
Imagine if I can actually put 100% concentration and determination when I'm

Friday the 13th to mie //

Excuse mie for saying this ..
But man do I have a terrible day today ! Its like my
Friday the 13th today !! Gosh !
I can seriously cry my eyes out today !

Why is it considered my so called " Friday the 13th "

Let's see , Why did I actually said that today is considered my so called
" Friday the 13th ? " I shall tell you ..
At school today, Lee Min asked mie about my bottle [ which is a glass bottle ]
And at that moment I told her that Isn't it cute? *laughs* I told her that the glass
is too thick to break ! And then guess what ?

Yes ! my bad fell on the floor and my glass bottle broke ! Goodness ..! I was so shocked ..
I found out that my glass bottle broke when it's time for out recess . Goodness ..
My face was seriously giving this look >>> O_O
I saw my bag all wet .. And obviously you know that it broke right ?
And i even repeated myself saying .
" Oh my God .. I think my bottle break already .."
" Oh my God .. I think my bottle really break already .."
*sigh* And yeah ! I opened the zip and i say the bottle broken in to pieces ..
The glasses were all shattered in my bag .. Ain't I lucky !! *sighs*

Then Mas and MeiShien took my bag and walked to the Trash Bin outside .
Now .. My bad luck curse has been sentenced on mie *sigh*
My Beloved Tazo bottle broke !
I have no choice but to throw my bag away due to all those other shattered
glass piece.

She helped mie picked out the shattered glass pieces ! Wow ! She's free !

O_O Haha !

But I guess I have to throw that bag away in the end .. *sigh*
And then not only that ! When I reached home ,
I forgot about the curse which was sentenced on mie .!
My mum ask mie whether I would like to join her to the trip to the Saloon .
She says
" Why don't you accompany mie there ? You can have them wash your hair as well "
And OBVIOUSLY ! I agree to it ..! I love to having people washing my hair xD
It's so relaxing and all rights ?
So I followed her there . The lady asked mie how would I like my hair to be trim ?
So I said " pong ngo zap ah zap tak ge la " [ help mie trim a little bit ]
Something like that ; and they did .
Meanwhile at that moment I was reading the magazine about haircuts.
I saw this cute fringe , which is so cute I wanted to have this cute fringe .
And here .. My curse awakens from its rest ..
She cut it WAY TOO SHORT !
And I didn't notice that time ! Goodness ..! While she was snapping it shorter ,
I was reading the magazine .. I regret so much now ..!!
And Yeah ! The fringe which I kept for so long , she snapped it so short ..
Seriously short ..! And Prom Night is just NEXT WEEK !
My fringe can't possibly grow that fast !! *sigh*

I am not going to cut short fringe again .. I'm leaving it long *sigh*

Why do students these days tend to spend majority of their time
going to tuition centre ? Home tuition ? Can't they study themselves
instead ? *laughs*
I heard my aunt talking about the olden days.
They were saying about studyies that day .

"Nowadays the kids have to spend their time going to tuition.
In our younger days , we can't affort to go to tuitions and we
ended up studying ourselves. Studying alone isn't it better?
You don't have to spend money and time going there?
I just don't get kids nowaways."

Aunt dont get this is probably that you're smart and hardworking !
